Privacy in a team: who sees what

1 min read

When a company pays for subscriptions for its employees, a fair question quickly comes up: does the employer then also see the photos? At snaptosuit the answer is a clear no. The whole model is built so that the person who pays and the person who creates photos are cleanly separated. This separation is not a coincidence but a core principle.

Whoever distributes a subscription manages only the organizational side. That includes how many subscriptions are bought, who gets which plan and when a seat is assigned or ended. What stays completely hidden from this person, on the other hand, is the content: the selfies that are uploaded and the portraits that emerge from them. These live in the private account of the respective person and are visible only to them.

An own account for every person

This is possible because every invited person receives a completely own account. It belongs to them, not to the company. Even if the subscription is later removed or cancelled, the images already created and the credits received stay in this account. So the person keeps control over their content, regardless of who pays the bill.

For companies this is an advantage, not a drawback. They enable their employees to have professional portraits without intruding on their privacy or taking responsibility for personal image data. For the employees, in turn, trust arises, because it is clear that their photos belong to them and no one else looks in.
